The UltraSharp U2723QE, for example, launched in the first half of 2022, was one of the world's first monitors featuring IPS Black technology, boosting color and contrast beyond standard IPS fare.

No, it's not Surface Laptop Go 3. It's the Surface Laptop Studio 2 that grabbed my attention.

It has a few differences from the Steam Deck that make it an exciting prospect for those who want a more powerful alternative, with a Ryzen Z1 processor, a 120Hz IPS 1080p display, and native Windows support.

<![CDATA[Asus RT-AX57 review: A value router for gigabit connections]]> I love fast hardware and exploring the bleeding edge of what’s possible in computing with some of the fastest Wi-Fi routers in the world, but that gets expensive fast. Most people just want their internet connection to work reliably without wasting a bunch of money on hardware they don’t really need. That’s where the Asus RT-AX57 comes in with its modest AX3000 connection and simple software, making it easy to get set up in minutes. This router looks like a good fit for a lot of families, but can it really keep up with a fast connection and a demanding household?

At least, that’s what happened to me when I wanted to get started with a custom mechanical keyboard. And the device that showed up the most was the Keychron Q1 Pro, a 75% custom kit with a durable aluminum chassis, hot-swappable switches, RBG, wired and Bluetooth capabilities, versatility with different platforms, and more. Basically, it had a little of everything for the person who wanted an excellent prebuilt keyboard that they could customize down the road. It was just a bit out of my price range at around $200.

<![CDATA[HYTE Y40 Snow White Edition PC case review: Hot looks with even hotter thermals]]> Launched as a standalone brand in 2021 by iBuyPower, HYTE hasn't been in the PC case-making business for very long, but the company already has three chassis under its belt. It all started with a splash with the ITX Revolt 3 tower case. Then, there was Y60, and now we have the slightly smaller Y40. A few color options were available with the HYTE Y40, but there hasn't been an option for an all-white scheme ... until now. There's absolutely nothing different between the Y40 versions aside from paint coating, so today, we're reviewing the HYTE Y40 Snow White Edition alongside all other Y40 cases.

<![CDATA[Parallels Desktop 19 for Mac review: A virtualization software good enough to replace Boot Camp]]> Even the most fervent macOS users will probably run into a situation where they need to use an application or service that only runs on Windows. In the time since Apple began switching from Intel processors to Apple Silicon systems-on-a-chip, running Windows on a Mac has become more difficult. While this used to be officially supported via Boot Camp, a built-in tool that enabled dual booting macOS and Windows partitions on the same drive, this was removed on Apple Silicon Macs. Enter Parallels 19, a virtualization software that aims to run everything from Windows to Linux on your Mac in virtual machines.

<![CDATA[The Portable Monitor Slide V2 review: Two screens you can (kind of) take anywhere]]> As I've grown more accustomed to having multiple screens in my desk setup, it's become that much harder to get work done when I'm away from home and have to rely only on my laptop's display. I'm certainly not alone in that, which is why the portable monitor market has grown a lot in recent years, with lots of options from big and small brands alike. However, one of the standout solutions is the Portable Monitor Slide V2, which offers two screens in one package.

<![CDATA[HP Dragonfly G4 review: What else could you want?]]> HP's Dragonfly series consistently shows up on our best laptops guide, and there's a reason for that. It's tough to find anything wrong with them, and that extends to the latest addition, the Dragonfly G4. It's super-light, has a 3:2 OLED display option, and the keyboard is best in its class. The webcam is pretty great, too, which is nice to have if you work from home, and HP even added some neat new features, like the ability to automatically switch between cameras while you're using them.

Its FireCuda 540 SSD isn't the fastest among PCIe 5.0 drives, but at 1000TBW per terabyte, it's definitely the most durable by far. If you want an SSD that will last you years without even failing a little, the FireCuda 540 is the SSD for you.

This lid is anchored to a clever swivel hinge that allows for 180-degree rotation. This allows the ThinkBook Plus Gen 4 to be both a laptop and tablet with either display.

Still, this hasn't halted AMD, Nvidia, and now Intel from launching new products, and today we're going to be looking at the new AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT and Radeon RX 7800 XT. I see so many options in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene. I know many people who use a HyperX headset and many more who use a regular pair of headphones and a dedicated microphone. I fall into the latter camp and always have (I previously used Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless wired to my PC, for example), but the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless actually managed to change that.

If not for the Legion Go stealing the entire show for me, the Lenovo Legion Glasses would have been my pick for my favorite product at the show. <![CDATA[HP Omen Transcend 16 (2023) review: A Mini-LED display and strong CPU power]]> HP has a three-pronged approach to mobile PC gaming, delivering laptops with varying prices and features through the Victus, Omen, and Omen Transcend brands. HP refreshed all three of its gaming brands for 2023, and we've now had a chance to test and review all of them. The Omen Transcend 16 (2023) — the latest to receive our attention — is the pinnacle of what HP offers in terms of high-end gaming laptops. To name a few standout selling points, it has a taller display with a 16:10 aspect ratio (not to mention a gorgeous mini-LED option), the chassis is made entirely of magnesium aluminum, and it's thinner and lighter than its siblings.

Among PCIe 4.0 SSDs, Samsung's 990 Pro has reigned as the fastest SSD (or at least tied as the top with WD's SN850X), and I was pretty confident that it would remain that way forever when I reviewed it back in April.

Tons of companies are attempting to make the best M.2 PCIe 5.0 SSDs for consumers, and while MSI is a relative newcomer to SSDs, that hasn't stopped the company from launching the Spatium M570. <![CDATA[ Noctua NH-D15 review: This old classic is still king of air coolers]]> The Noctua NH-D15 feels like it has been around since the very first PC and we're only just getting around to reviewing the popular CPU cooler. Air coolers such as the NH-D15 are great for PC builds where a liquid all-in-one would either be too expensive, the radiator too large, or it's simply not required for what the system will be used for. Air coolers are usually more affordable yet are still able to tame even the more power-hungry processors from AMD and Intel. Noctua is one of the big brands in the air cooling space and the company's NH-D15 is a serious cooler for expelling heat.

Omen Transcend is the peak of HP's offering, while Omen is the flagship series that no doubt appeals to most people. <![CDATA[TP-Link Deco BE85 Wi-Fi 7 mesh review: Ultra-fast Wi-Fi you can set up with an app]]> Wi-Fi 7 is genuinely incredible with massive speed increases over previous generations with new wider channels and multi-link operation modes. But there’s a problem. Nearly all of your wireless devices will need to be upgraded or replaced to get the full benefits of Wi-Fi 7, right? Actually, one of the best and most immediate uses for all of this extra speed is a mesh system with the extra bandwidth enabling ultra-fast backhaul connections. That means you’ll likely see improvements on your older tech, like a PS5, that can connect to a much closer access point maximizing its 2x2 Wi-Fi 6 connection.

The company also makes some gaming mice, and today, we're looking at the MSI Clutch GM51 Lightweight Wireless, an excellent wireless mouse with a fantastic sensor and a fancy charging dock. Building lightweight wireless mice can prove a challenge since the battery pack can weigh a substantial amount, especially with the ever-increasing demand for longer periods of time between charges. I’m personally a fan of Gateron switches, which are cheaper, quieter, and less scratchy than Cherry’s, for example. However, Cherry switches are still often built into mass-market mechanical keyboards, so even if they’re not your first choice when building a custom kit, they’re still one of the most widespread options and set the standard for the rest of the industry.

There are many you can choose from, but you might've seen Satechi come up in your search. One of its newest docking solutions is the Thunderbolt 4 Multimedia Pro Dock. Though it is "Pro" in name, it's similar to other Thunderbolt 4 docks in its $300 price range. This means it is very well-designed and has a lot of ports onboard, including the card readers that creative types (who this dock targets) might need. Because I have a large 32-inch monitor, I close the lid, place the laptop under my monitor, and connect it via DisplayPort. Then, I need to connect my keyboard, mouse, and other peripherals separately with multiple dongles. This takes things a step further in just about every way, making it one of Lenovo's best creator laptops and one of the company's best laptops in general. After the Steam Deck launched, it spurred SSD companies into action to deliver some new, high-performance 2230-sized SSDs for these tiny devices. Sabrent's Rocket 2230 is positioned as one of the highest-end SSDs in this tiny form factor, and it lives up to the hype. Well, they’re finally here, but is it a good time to upgrade? Of course, you will need the latest generation hardware to use one, including a PCIe 5.0-supported motherboard. But if you’re looking at an upgrade, you should check out the Crucial T700 SSD. It's one of the first 5.0 SSDs on the market and promises all the speed and performance of this new generation of PC storage. It’s available in 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB capacities, and with or without a fanless heatsink. <![CDATA[Asus RT-AX88U Pro review: A powerful gaming router that can handle almost anything else]]> Asus has a strong reputation for manufacturing computer components, portable computers, monitors, and more. But they've also been hard at work building out its networking side, and it's been impossible to ignore with Wi-Fi 6 routers like the Asus RT-AX88U Pro. While this router’s dual-band AX6000 connection may not seem like much, especially with tri-band and quad-band Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 routers entering the market, it makes a lot of sense for many home users.

<![CDATA[Dell XPS 17 (2023) review: The best 17-inch laptop on the planet]]> The Dell XPS 17 (2023) is the best 17-inch laptop on the market. It's really that simple. <![CDATA[Corsair MP600 Mini review: A reliable, quick SSD for your Steam Deck or Asus ROG Ally]]> Storage is one of the most important components of any device, but it's especially important for gaming. It not only allows you to have all of your games in one place, but it also, in part, dictates how quickly games can load. Even if you have the best processor and the best GPU, a 7,200 RPM hard drive will make apps and games load slowly. That's why if you're adding extra storage to a handheld gaming console like the Steam Deck or Asus ROG Ally, you'll not only need extra storage but fast speeds.

One of those is the Lenovo ThinkCentre M60q which was announced at the end of 2022. This Chromebox is a really great one to consider if you want to bring ChromeOS to the big screen at home or at work, or for things like powering kiosks. It's durable with a ThinkPad-like look and is very compact. It even features the power of modern 12th-generation Intel CPUs under the hood.

<![CDATA[Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023) review: Critical improvements make this a great headset]]> Owning a great gaming laptop, or a great gaming desktop is one thing, but accessories always complete your setup and bring you close to the action. One of the most popular of these accessories was the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro gaming headset. Released in 2020, it's super lightweight and super sleek, and a favorite of many professional gamers. In today's days, though, that headset was starting to show its age when compared to the competition. Micro USB-C connectivity, for example, was just one thing that made it look so dated. It didn't even have Bluetooth connectivity.

The brand, owned by Dell, has built up quite a reputation for delivering powerful performance and featuring an instantly recognizable design language. I love laptop gaming, but I have always been enticed by Legion desktops for a few reasons. Like other pre-built rigs, they offer plenty of value and some features that you see on more premium custom-made systems, all without the need to build it yourself. <![CDATA[Mac Studio with M2 Ultra review: For creative professionals only]]> There's been some snark in the tech community lately about Apple products using the "Pro" naming convention a little too liberally. For example, the differences between the MacBook Air and Pro mostly come down to a fan that rarely gets used. That's why it's ironic that out of all the Apple products, the Mac Studio is the one that does not get the Pro branding. This machine, particularly the M2 Ultra version I'm testing, is for real creative pros, like producers at NBC who have been using a 2022 Mac Studio to create Saturday Night Live intros every week for the past year, or Los Angeles-based Air Studio, which uses the same computer to mix Hollywood movie soundtracks.

It's essentially the same as the NZXT H5 Flow RGB I only just reviewed, but comes without the GPU-focused fan and more internal space. <![CDATA[Casetify MacBook Impact Case review: Protection and customization with a few compromises]]> Laptop cases present an interesting tradeoff. Even the best laptop cases add some protection to your computer but come with unnecessary bulk. Theoretically, if you're careful, you shouldn't need a case for your laptop if you use the device at a table or desk often. <![CDATA[NZXT H5 Flow RGB review: Impressive thermals from a sleek mid-tower chassis]]> NZXT has been in the business of making cases for what seems like an eternity at this point. The company knows a thing or two about making a solid chassis for a PC, including the new NZXT H5 Flow RGB, one of the latest mid-tower cases from the brand. There's RGB lighting, plenty of preinstalled fans, an interesting (and unique) GPU-focused cooling chamber, as well as the latest design updates to NZXT's catalog of PC cases.

<![CDATA[Logitech G Pro X 2 Lightspeed review: You'll really hear the difference]]> Have you ever thought about what's inside that gaming headset you use? Most headsets these days have a mylar driver, which produces the sound. Other headsets might use graphene material but only have trace amounts of it in the coating of that driver. However, now we have the Logitech Pro X 2 Lightspeed, which is the first gaming headset using 90% graphene by weight in the audio diaphragm.

<![CDATA[NZXT Kraken 240 review: Impressive cooling performance at a reasonable price]]> NZXT is our with some new Kraken all-in-one liquid CPU coolers and today we're looking at the NZXT Kraken 240. This is a mid-range cooler with ample thermal capacity with a 240mm radiator and the latest generation Asetek pump. NZXT markets this cooler as the best solution for an entry or mid-level processor such as an Intel Core i7-13700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7700. The NZXT Kraken 240 doesn't have any RGB lighting, but there is a CPU block LCD panel for displaying temperatures and other content.

<![CDATA[Lenovo Yoga 7i 16 (2023) review: Large and lovely mainstream 2-in-1 at a good price]]> The very best Lenovo convertible laptop you can buy is the Yoga 9i (2023), as you can probably tell by how many appearances it makes on our best laptop lists. As Lenovo's flagship, this great convertible has fancy polished edges, great keyboard shortcuts, and a gorgeous OLED display. The problem is, it costs $1,700. So, if your budget is tight, and you want something that's bigger, less flashy, and more mainstream, you'll want to buy the Yoga 7i 16 (2023) instead.

<![CDATA[Lenovo Slim Pro 7 review: A sleek creator laptop that values performance over the display]]> The Lenovo Slim Pro 7 is the company's latest shot at a laptop for content creators, so it looks and feels very similar to last year's Slim 7 Pro X. It does come with upgraded hardware, including an AMD Ryzen 7000 series processor, though it also cuts back in some ways, specifically the display.

<![CDATA[Lenovo Legion Pro 5 (2023) review: No compromises in this AMD Ryzen 7000 gaming laptop]]> Some of the best gaming laptops available today are coming out of Lenovo's Legion stable, offering access to a wide range of performance hardware, displays, and — perhaps most importantly — price points. While the Legion Pro 7i (Gen 8) might be our current favorite, its high-end design, features, and performance put it into a price range that's beyond reasonable for a lot of people.

<![CDATA[Solidigm P41 Plus SSD review: SSD drivers actually make a difference]]> There's a lot of brands in the SSD arena, from titans like Samsung to newcomers like Solidigm, which was founded in late 2021 and thus hasn't had much time to make a name for itself yet. However, Solidigm isn't really a new company; when Intel sold off its SSD division to SK Hynix, it was rebranded to Solidigm, and still advertises the popular budget 660p and 670p drives on its website.

<![CDATA[Dell UltraSharp 32 6K Monitor (U3224KB) review: The only monitor you'll ever need]]> I've reviewed tons of great monitors, but one of my favorites was the Dell UltraSharp 32 4K Video conferencing monitor. It's not traditional by any means, but it has a lot of what I look for in an excellent productivity display, including built-in speakers, 4K resolution, and even a built-in 4K webcam. I always wondered though if Dell could possibly make this great product better. Enter its follow-up, the Dell UltraSharp 32 6K Monitor.

<![CDATA[NZXT Kraken Elite 360 review: Beefy cooling for a flagship AMD or Intel CPU]]> NZXT has been in the business of making CPU coolers for a few years now, so whenever the company announces some new NZXT Kraken AIO CPU coolers, we get a little excited with some high expectations. Using the excellent seventh-generation Asetek pump technology, the new NZXT Kraken Elite 360 promises high thermal capacity with the performance to tame even a flagship AMD or Intel processor.

<![CDATA[Satechi 200W USB-C 6-Port GaN Charger review: Providing extreme power to most of your devices]]> If you're a techie like me with a lot of great laptops, or just someone who is tired of juggling around charging cables for a Mac or an Android phone, a charging dock is always a good solution. You can find many of these that come in different sizes and with a lot of port selections, but a lot of devices these days are now using USB-C. This is where a product like the Satechi 200W USB-C 6-Port GaN Charger proves to be useful.

<![CDATA[Plugable UD-3900PDH Docking Station review: An affordable dock with a lot of ports]]> Plugable makes a lot of docking stations, catering to different segments of the market. That includes one of the best Thunderbolt docks, but it costs quite a lot of money, which could be a big problem. If you want a cheaper solution, the Plugable USB-C Triple HDMI Display Docking Station (UD-3900PDH) might just be for you.

<![CDATA[Lenovo Legion Pro 5i (2023) review: An awesome Pro 7i alternative that will better suit more gamers]]> Lenovo has gained a solid reputation in the best gaming laptop discussion, and we're so impressed with the Legion Pro 7i (Gen 8) that it's our current top pick out of systems from Razer, Asus, MSI, Dell, Samsung, and more. The Legion Pro 7i is undeniably great, but it's positioned more as the pinnacle of what Lenovo can accomplish, sticking with high-end specs (a Core i9-13900HX is the only CPU available) and a premium price tag to match. The eighth-generation Legion Pro 5i, which I've been testing out for the last couple of weeks, starts at a more reasonable price and has hardware tuned closer to what average gamers will want. Nevertheless, it comes with many of the same high-end features and smooth 16-inch display available in the Legion Pro 7i.
